Catherine wins Female Artist of the Year 2009
at the CMAA Golden Guitar Awards in Tamworth!

Catherine has returned from Tamworth with a slightly heavier suitcase after picking up the prestigeous award, Female Artist of the Year.  Catherine's current album, Little Wildflower, was nominated for 4 awards at this year's CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia, including Album of the Year and Single of the Year, but it was in the category Female Artist of the Year that Catherine made her impact.
 
The win is a first for Catherine, who has been singing since age ten.  During a performance the next afternoon, Catherine announced to the crowd "I met someone last night", and gushed about her new love.  She ran off the stage, promising to introduce 'him' to the audience - before returning with her Golden Guitar award! 
 
Congratulations to Catherine on her well-deserved accolade.
